The day will provide an opportunity to understand the mechanisms in place which support students with chronic health conditions to successfully complete their HSC and pursue further education.

Attendees will have the opportunity to consult with experts from the NSW Education Standard Authority (NESA) formerly known as Board of Studies (BOSTES), Universities Admissions Centre (UAC), Universities and TAFE NSW.

If you are in Years 10, 11 or 12 (HSC) or a parent, sibling, teacher, medical/allied health professional of a young person in these years, you are invited to attend.

The focus of the sessions will be:

  • Academic expectations in the face of illness
  • Attaining a HSC
  • Assessments and exam requirements
  • Disability - medical provisions
  • Getting an ATAR
  • Entry into University or TAFE
  • Special schemes: SRS, EAS
